The Problem

The VA already had the mission.
Veterans across nine million enrollments needed hearing care.

But staffing shortages nationwide had created backlogs.
Delayed appointments.
Veterans waiting longer than they should for essential services.

They needed someone who could move fast and stay consistent.

Our Solution

In 2019, we placed two Audiology Health Technicians at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.

Not generalists hoping to learn the role.
Trained professionals ready to support audiologists, manage hearing aid inventory, and keep patient scheduling running smoothly from day one.

Within weeks, efficiency improved.
VA staff noticed.
The technicians earned praise for professionalism and attention to detail.

Then COVID-19 hit.

Healthcare staffing collapsed nationwide. The VA needed immediate reinforcement to avoid service gaps during the most challenging period in modern healthcare history.

We deployed temporary technicians to Community-Based Outpatient Clinics and the main hospital.
Hearing aid servicing continued.
Patient support never stopped.
Not once.

The Happy Ending

That consistency led to growth.

Five full-time technicians.
Additional on-call personnel.
Each one carefully recruited for healthcare experience and trained on VA systems, privacy protocols, and infection control standards.

The results spoke for themselves:

100% position fill rate.
Zero service interruptions.
Improved patient throughput.
Reduced wait times.
Accurate timecards and invoicing.

But the most meaningful validation came from VA leadership.
National and regional leaders visited the Minneapolis facility and were blown away by the quality of work.

When veterans need care, timely access makes all the difference.
